From Nampula, Rofino, at 22, is one of our star employees. Since starting to work for Fresh Limitada almost 2 years ago he has learnt the skill of bricklaying, has managed to pick up conversational English and has become one of our drivers, learning to drive from scratch – he had never been in the front seat of a car before!

In addition to this list of promising skills, Rofino has also managed to build a house for himself, his wife and 3 children through clever saving. It’s easy to believe this soft spoken young man when he says that working hard and helping his family are the two most important things in his life.

At 25, Litus, one of our Island Guards, has made plenty of improvements to his and his family’s home life through hard work and dedication. Upon meeting him, one can immediately see he takes his job very seriously. When he is not on the island keeping an eye on our camps and the turtles nesting in the area, he is busy on the mainland, helping out with the building. He is also a very strong sportsman as seen during a recent volleyball game on Nejovo Island!

Litus is one of our trainee skippers.

Litus is married and commits himself to working and praying.

It has been an exciting month with the article about our project getting itself into a few online publications.

Following the release in the clubofmozambiqe website, we have since been spotted on

The Mail & Guardian Online:

Travel Wires, a travel and tourism industry news site

And, rather surprisingly, the Norwegian Council for Africa website, Africa News Update.
